AUGUST FAVOURITES 2018

Hello everybody!
Can you believe August is over already? It's sad that summer is coming to an end but I am also really excited about Autumn and Winter. I love the cosy months where you can layer up and start thinking about Christmas. I know there's a huge divide between those who are buzzing for Christmas (me) and those who roll their eyes and groan "It's still Summer for crying out loud!" (Callum). I'd love you to let me know in the comments or over on Instagram which one you are!

I've started looking for Christmas presents and am searching for some brands who would like to get involved with my Christmas gift guide series, so if you know of any, please let me know!

Anyway, enough about Christmas. This month I went on holiday and I took several (seven) books with me. Then I ran out of books. My mum had finished her book and lent it to me to read and as soon as I had finished it, I went on Amazon and ordered the second book. Why Mummy Drinks is a hilarious book about how bringing up children is not as perfect as people make it out to be. There are some huge laugh out loud moments in both books (the second book is Why Mummy Swears). Although I'm not a mum yet, I still found the books hilarious and I could relate to some of the things that the children did because it reminded me of when I was younger (and a pain in the arse, I now realise!)

I recently got my exam results and my mum bought me this Pandora Study Book Charm to celebrate. It is a really lovely piece and I've added it to my black leather bracelet.

I went to York for the pop up Shakespeare Rose Theatre experience. I went to see Romeo and Juliet but I purchased a Coriolanus quote magnet that says "Have We No Wine Here?" The experience was really good, the actors were fab and it was a really good weekend. I started a magnet collection earlier this year but currently all my magnets live on my radiator as I don't have my own fridge yet.

Whilst I was in York, I visited the Primark store and got this letter board which was reduced from £8 to £5. It comes with hundreds of letters to customise the board with. I've chosen a quote from The Greatest Showman at the moment but I can change it up as often as I like. I also got some fairy lights with pegs for £3. I'm looking forward to hanging up some photos using these.

Before I went to York, it was our 6 month anniversary so Callum bought me some lovely presents, including this Adventure Book from the film Up. I'm really looking forward to documenting our story together, like in Up. This has such sentimental value as well as being such a lovely gift!

I got Callum a new belt from Rydale. They have a range of belts available on their website and in store too for really affordable prices! This one is reversible from black to brown. Callum says he likes it and it seems really good quality too!

I got this Wensley scarf from Joules recently in the sale and it pairs perfectly with my black and white Harbour top. As Autumn just around the corner, it makes sense to have a few scarves handy to keep you nice and warm!

My mum ordered me some small baskets for my uni room. These are from Amazon. She also got me a set of 4 Bee coasters from Sass & Belle and a foldable cactus bag. If you've read my other blogs, you'll know that I have several bee themed items already. I also have a (small) obsession with cacti. I've been collecting them since I was around 11 and currently have over 20 in my bedroom.

Finally, this week I went to see Christopher Robin with my family and it was such a good film! I was sobbing all the way through. I won't spoilt it for anyone who hasn't seen it but I really recommend that you all go and watch it!

Thank you for reading! I've got more exciting blogs planned so keep your eyes peeled for them!

JULY FAVOURITES 2018

Hello everybody, it doesn't seem that long since I was sat writing my June Favourites blog! I was supposed to get this blog up last week before I went on holiday but had too much to do so I've just got it done now. I've got many blogs planned for the next few weeks, including more 'In The Spotlight' blogs, a series of blogs on what to take to uni, a review of my holiday and some blogs featuring Rydale Clothing.

Firstly, I've been living in my Rydale laced leather deck shoes recently during this hot weather. The shoes are practical and keep your feet cool as well. I believe this exact colour is unavailable online at the moment but there are other lovely colours available to choose from and they're only £19.99!

I got this Gold Tone Bee Necklace from Next, as well as a matching Gold Tone Bee Stud earring Set. They were £5 each, which is quite reasonably priced. Bees seem to be 'in fashion' at the moment as well!

Callum bought me this Talk About Love charm from Pandora whilst he was on holiday in Tenerife (isn't he cute?)
It goes perfectly with my other charms on my bracelet and is a lovely reminder of how lucky I am!

I went to see this film in the cinema twice and now I've got it on DVD. It's such a good family film and it made me and my family laugh so much. Peter Rabbit is voiced by James Corden, and the film features Domhnall Gleeson and Rose Byrne.

I've always been a fan of Bomb Cosmetics, and I love their candles as well as bath products. My favourite scent is Sea of Tranquility. I'm rubbish at describing scents, so I'll copy and paste the website description here: A dynamic fresh oceanic fragrance with a zippy citrus- cologne top note of bergamot, lemongrass, grapefruit, Lavandin and peppermint, enhanced with a splash of breezy ozone. Vibrant orange blossom heart notes rest on an ambered woody-mossy base underscored with billowing musks. With pure Marjoram and Rosemary essential oils.

I have already burnt my Cranberry and Lime candle and have reused it as a plant pot for a succulent. Once I've burnt all of the Sea of Tranquility candle, I plan on using it to plant another succulent or cactus in.

Finally, last but not least, the Flash bathroom cleaner! I know that sounds really random and possibly boring of me, but this stuff is amazing at cleaning grime off taps, window sills, sinks and pretty much anything else. It smells really fresh and clean as well.

18TH BIRTHDAY PRESENTS

Hello!
Last week I celebrated my 18th Birthday and now things have settled down and are (relatively) back to normal, I decided to write a blog about a few of the things I got.
I am very grateful for everything I received and would like to say a massive thank you to everybody who wished me a happy birthday, gave me a card/present and helped me celebrate last weekend.

From my parents, I got the medium Pandora jewellery box (which is extremely hard to photograph as the mirror always seems to get either my face or the camera lens in- so I do apologise for the stock photo). This jewellery box is £45 but Pandora do other sizes as well. I believe they are only available in store.

I also got a personalised bangle from my parents which has my name and 'Happy 18th Birthday' engraved around the outside of the bangle.

I got some new charms as well (pictured above on the bracelet), including the Vintage C Charm, the 18th Birthday Pendant Charm and the black enamel openwork flower charm (which has just been discontinued).
I got a voucher to spend in Pandora (which came in a gorgeous gift box!) and used it to buy some more charms.

Pisces Star Sign Charm

I also got my birthstone ring, and because I spent over £125, I got a free pair of earrings worth £55.

Another present from my parents were my Rydale Malham Classic Leather Boots. I got these earlier in the year and haven't yet taken any photos of them as the weather has been terrible!

I got some other gorgeous jewellery pieces like this beautiful necklace from my boyfriend (shoutout to Callum for being my rock and putting up with all my crap xx)

I'll just insert a few photos of other bits and bobs that I got :)

And I also got some bath and shower stuff (which gives me an excuse to have more relaxing baths...right?) I'll leave links to the websites of the products below.

I haven't listed everything I got because I got a lot of champagne, prosecco and glasses and they're difficult to photograph aesthetically.
I hope you enjoyed the blog & perhaps it inspired anyone who was thinking about what to get a girl for her birthday.

NEW JOULES PURCHASES

NEW JOULES PURCHASES

Recently I bought a top and scarf from Joules and decided to feature them on my blog. The Harbour Jersey Top is 100% cotton and is so comfy and soft! It’s available in different colours too, my Granny has a pink and white one. The black and white top is quite simple so works well with all my jeans and can be styled with different colours and patterns too. And priced at £24.95, you can’t really go wrong!

The Bracken Soft Handle Scarf is so soft and perfect for the colder seasons. The colours are very autumnal and I’ve had lots of compliments when wearing it. There are different colours and styles available as well and I’m tempted to buy another! RRP: £14.95

Thanks Amelia for the photos :)
