CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE- LADS

Now it's time for some ideas to get your boyfriend, father or grandfather. These are a few things that I liked the look of and some things that my dad chose for himself as well!

***********************************************************************************

Firstly, let's start with the most expensive item! My dad has the Schoffel Oakham Fleece Gilet in Navy and has his eye on the Berkeley 1/4 Zip Fleece for Christmas. He's currently debating between the Navy and the Kingfisher.

The next thing is the 12 Gauge Shotgun Cartridge Cuff Links by High Bird Designs. I think these are lovely and are at the extremely affordable price of £8! If I was a lad I would definitely wear these!

Also by High Bird Designs, the 12 Bore Shotgun Wood Effect Keyrings would make a lovely edition to a set of keys and are very reasonable at the price of £5 each!

And of course no Christmas would be complete without a 'his and hers'! To match the Wycomb belt I listed on my last gift guide for lasses (http://thatmardyyorkshirelass.blogspot.co.uk/2017/11/christmas-gift-guide-lasses.html). The Mackenzie and George belts are of amazing quality and can be personalised with initials in gold foil, silver foil or plain. Mackenzie and George's products are of a high standard and come with a Built to Last Guarantee and they also offer a TLC service for when your products need shortening or refreshing!

Another winter essential is definitely wellies! These Barbour wellies are crafted in super-vulcanised rubber and lined in Barbour's signature Classic Tartan. They are sure to keep your feet warm in style. They're also not badly priced at £79.95.

John Norris currently have a huge Barbour sale, including these gorgeous Redcar Oxford Brogues. They feature a suede upper, cotton canvas heel counter and classic tartan cotton lining. The sturdy rubber sole is detailed with Barbour's iconic 'Walking Man' motif.
These shoes are currently reduced from £109 to £59.99! Get yourselves on the John Norris website or visit their store in Penrith to grab yourself a bargain!

Another winter essential is definitely a nice warm scarf! Hortons have some really nice scarves at the moment and I really like the Hexham Scarf in 'blue check'. I have a multitude of scarves but I think you can never have too many!

Jack Wills have some lovely jumpers and a huge knitwear collection available.
You can't go wrong with jumpers in winter and I know my own jumper from Jack Wills is brilliant quality and has lasted me a few years now.

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE- LASSES

Hello! It's that time of year where Michael Bublé begins to defrost and everyone starts panicking about buying gifts for family and friends. I've decided to write three Christmas Gift Guide blogs to help out those who are a bit stuck for ideas this year! This is a gift guide for lasses and I'll also be doing one for lads and another for dogs. I hope you enjoy and find it useful!

 ******************************************************************************
The first item is the Wistow Printed Shirt in Pheasant White, which is on my Christmas list. I absolutely love the Rydale shirt collection as there's so much choice and they're all so affordable! The Wistow Shirts are priced at £29.99 which is a bargain.

Equally, the Wistow Printed Shirt in Hare White is also gorgeous and an ideal present for a friend, sister or mother. I'm getting my mother this shirt for Christmas because she's been making several hints now!

I also love the Hannah Country Shirts as they're so comfy and are at the brilliant price of £14.99 or two for £25! They're perfect for everyday wear or you could dress them up for a casual meal out as well!

 ******************************************************************************

If you're looking for a more high-end shirt, the Schoffel Surrey Shirt would make a lovely gift. It is also reduced from £59.95 down to £42 at Millbry Hill, so go and grab yourself a bargain whilst you still can!

*******************************************************************************

Another thing on my Christmas list is the Fairford Tweed Purse by Joules in the colour 'tan check'. It would be a perfect gift for a girlfriend, mother or grandmother or even as a treat for yourself! Every shop I've been in recently has had this in stock and I've been wanting it for soooo long!

*******************************************************************************

I absolutely love the Wycomb Shotgun Shell Belt from Mackenzie and George, it's such a classic piece with a real country twist. I think all of Mackenzie and George's products are beautiful and I've got my fingers crossed for finding this under the tree! I have the Fedora in navy and a feather hat pin which I think would also make a great Christmas gift as they're such great quality!

I recently discovered High Bird Designs and if you haven't already, I really recommend that you go and check out the Etsy shop! I fell in love with the necklaces, which are stunning and really affordable at only £15 each! I bought my friend the Horse Stirrup and Crop necklace for her birthday and she loved it. I'd really like the Pheasant necklace for Christmas...(hint, hint...)

A perfect gift idea is Wrendale Designs by Royal Worcester. My mother is obsessed with these designs, especially the hedgehog! I love the pheasant and badger designs as well.

A perfect idea for a stocking filler are these gorgeous Rice Mice by Heart of the Dales. We're lucky enough to know Jackie who makes these and every year stock up on mice and other gifts for presents. We also keep a few aside to decorate our house and our collection is ever growing! The mice come in three sizes- small, large and doorstop.

********************************************************************************

I was also really excited to receive my copy of In The Country Magazine and would really recommend a subscription for 2018. For just £24.99 including postage and packaging, you can subscribe to and get the UK's newest country lifestyle magazine, showcasing all things quintessentially country delivered directly to your door. I was gutted to miss out on the first issue of In The Country, so a subscription would be perfect to make sure you don't miss out on another issue!

**********************************************************************************

And finally, a more expensive gift idea would have to be a Schoffel Lyndon Fleece Gilet. I have the Navy colour but also have my eye on the Ruby colour! My Schoffel Gilet is probably one of my favourite items of clothing as it's so warm and comfy. I'm wearing mine now as I write this and the fleece material is so soft to lounge in as well as being practical for the outdoors. The gilet has two zipped pockets which are ideal for keeping your phone and money safe. I would really recommend these if you're able to afford one, however they are on the pricey side- retailing at £139.95!

I hope some of you found this useful, and keep a look out for my other Christmas Gift Guides for Lads and Pets which will both be coming shortly!

WEEKEND IN LONDON & DIRT BIKE SHOW

Covent Garden

Every half term, my family and I visit the annual Dirt Bike Show in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire and then continue to travel down to London for a few days.

It was lovely catching up with some people at the Dirt Bike Show and seeing all of the trade stands. We set off early on Thursday morning and arrived just after 9.30, which gave us plenty of time to look around all of the halls and allowed us lots of time to continue our journey down to London.

We stayed in Islington and I was nominated chief navigator for the weekend as apparently I'm good with the tube. On Friday we went to Leicester Square, Covent Garden and Harrods. Whilst in Harrods, we bumped into Mia McKenna Bruce who played Tee in Tracy Beaker Returns. She was really lovely and we're actually going to see her in the pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk in December at Tennants in Leyburn.

My outfit: Hoodie- Jack Wills, Top- Joules, Jeans- Gap
On Saturday we walked around Oxford Street, Regent Street and Trafalgar Square. We did some shopping, although I didn't buy much. The weather in London was so much nicer than the weather up here in Yorkshire!

Rainbow Baubles in John Lewis
On Sunday we travelled back up to Yorkshire and had a relatively straightforward journey with no major traffic jams! Sorry it's been a short blog (and rather late!) but I've been super busy with university applications and coursework I've barely had any time to sit down and chill!

NEW JOULES PURCHASES

NEW JOULES PURCHASES

Recently I bought a top and scarf from Joules and decided to feature them on my blog. The Harbour Jersey Top is 100% cotton and is so comfy and soft! It’s available in different colours too, my Granny has a pink and white one. The black and white top is quite simple so works well with all my jeans and can be styled with different colours and patterns too. And priced at £24.95, you can’t really go wrong!

The Bracken Soft Handle Scarf is so soft and perfect for the colder seasons. The colours are very autumnal and I’ve had lots of compliments when wearing it. There are different colours and styles available as well and I’m tempted to buy another! RRP: £14.95

Thanks Amelia for the photos :)
